Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answered.
Is my dog too old to be trained?
I'm sure you've heard the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks", well whoever made that up you can tell them it's nonsense. Some dogs may learn at different speeds, but training isn't race to the finish line. All ages welcome here!
What is your approach to dog training?
This very much depends on the dogs breed and reasons the owner is seeking training and what they'd like to get out of it. Different dogs will have varying individual needs with different drives and motivations, therefore I would use my knowledge to work towards the dogs strengths to ensure the training is successful. Aiming to set the dog up to succeed and make training a positive experience.
Do I need to give you a key to my home for the pop-in service?
To collect your dog I would need access into your home. However, when I do take a key, it is kept in a lockable box inside my home, only I have access and none of your personal details will be attached to the key linking it to your property for safety. I am also fully CRB checked and that can be seen upon request. I am flexible and can work around you, I do have some clients who use a coded key safe outside their home that they leave the key inside for me, which is a clever idea and works great. If you are interested in this service, feel free to give me a call and we can chat about it further.
Where are you located?
We mainly work in York, North Yorkshire but are flexible to travel depending on the clients needs. Feel free to get in touch to discuss this further.
